Collection Fever (noun):

1. An overwhelming and passionate urge to accumulate and possess a specific set or series of items, often leading the individual to go to great lengths to complete or expand their collection.
2. A fervent enthusiasm or obsession with collecting, where the act of acquiring and categorizing becomes as meaningful, if not more so, than the actual items collected.
